Palisades Zen Apartment

Hands down my absolute favorite stay during my time as a travel nurse. The unit was very spacious and cozy with great amenities, the quaint neighborhood had breathtaking trails and greenery, and the upstairs hosts, Sunny and Peter, were not only amazing hosts but just truly incredible people. I felt right at home and I wish I could have stayed even longer!

Wow, where to start! I stayed at the Zen Palisades apartment for 8 months while on a contract at Georgetown. Sunny and Peter are amongst the kindest people I’ve ever met and wonderful hosts. The apartment is lovely- perfect size for a single guest or a couple. The appliances are all updated, furnishings are well placed, especially in the kitchen and I used them often. As a travel nurse who works primarily night shift, the bedroom can be dark enough and cool enough for great daytime sleep. On the flip side, the living room has really great windows that allow for the perfect amount of light to come through. The street parking is a great amenity as well. I can’t say enough about how great my experience was and I look forward to another stay! You won’t be disappointed.

Very good experience. We wanted a quiet and safe place to stay and the apartment filled the bill in that regard. A fully equipped kitchen and a quality bed and a spacious,well furnished living room made for a comfortable stay. Several high quality restaurants were only a 5 minute walk away. The public bus transit was available just 100 feet away. Of course there is also Uber or Lyft if you don't drive. The hosts, Sunny and Peter were vere nice and had many good suggestions for us. Overall a good stay.

This vacation rental was a wonderful surprise. It is the lower level of a modern home in the Palisades area of DC--a lovely area. The home backs up on Rock Creek, just above where it flows into the Potomac. There are great wooded walking trails nearby. It is a quintessential place for a dog. Kitchen is well equipped, and amenities are high end (Apple TV, Mrs. Meyer's soaps, etc.). Location is walking distance from good restaurants and stores. I hate to let people know how special this place is because I want to be sure it is available for me on my next trip to DC!

We stayed at Peter and Sunny's place for over a month as we transitioned from living overseas back to the DC area. I cannot say enough about the hospitality, as well as comfort and location of their home. Located in Palisades, it's a quick drive or bus to anywhere in the DC region. The home is also walking distance to great wooded trails, coffee shops, groceries and restaurants.

The apartment is very well appointed with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. A pretty quick drive into downtown DC, but some really good local eateries in walking distance also. Sunny was so very welcoming and couldn't be more helpful. We really had a great stay and would definitely stay here again. Oh and our dog was happy there also !

It was a perfect place once one got used to being in the basement. No views outside. It is not a location where one would want to spend the day just sitting around. It's more a landing place for tourists like us who were busy and engaged all day long. Beds were very comfortable, storage fine, nice library, kitchen functional...nothing missing that we wished were present. All complete. No complaints at all. For our purposes, perfect. The owner is wonderful and incredibly helpful should any questions arise regarding the rental or D.C. generally.

2 night stay; did not spend much time in the apartment but it was clean, well appointed and pleasant! Homeowner was very nice and rental company professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

We just loved our stay at this rental! The owner was welcoming and so kind to show us around the apt and give us advice on our weekend to DC. The apt was cool and the perfect place to relax after being a tourist. Fit our family of four perfectly. Great location with grocery and restaurants close by. Inexpensive Uber or Lyft ride away from the sites. Apt had everything you would need for a great stay. We would stay here again for sure. Thanks Sunny!

Although small, the space was very cozy and inviting. Our host, Sunny was very helpful and accommodating and made our stay very enjoyable and pleasant. Location is approximately a 20 minute drive from downtown area and is accessible by bus, Uber or Lyft or driving. Nice and friendly neighborhood and considered safe as well.

Wonderful place in a convenient location. Quiet, safe area with easy access to the excitement of DC. Take a quick Uber ride to the attractions or stroll 1/2 mile to a bus stop that will get you to the Mall. Plenty of parking available. The surrounding forest and nearby bike trail provide plenty of recreation opportunities. Theres a Safeway nearby for easy grocery shopping and several restaurants.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The in-built water filtration system provides clean, taste-free water right from the tap: no need to buy bottled water. The kitchen was well-prepared with dishes and appliances. There was plenty of space for hanging/storing clothing, etc. The little extras exceeded expectations.

Hosts and LuxBnB team were delightful. I felt right at home and enjoyed my interactions with them. They are fascinating people with a rich understanding of the areas many attractions and activities. They provided wonderful suggestions that appealed to my interests.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend both this location and LuxBnB wholeheartedly. This is a great location for vacation or work stay.

I stayed in this wonderful place for almost one month. Was there with my wife, daughter and two dogs. It was just the right size, with a nice big bedroom, modern big kitchen and nice modern bathroom. The location is close to everything and there is a ton of open parking. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby and it takes 5 minutes to get to either Georgetown or to Mclean, VA. The owners were so amazingly kind and helpful and were always trying to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I absolutely will stay here again and really hated to leave. My nephew and family visited DC for the first time. We put them up at Luxbnb as our house is under construction. Located in the Palisades on the bus line, close to food store, restaurants and our home it was the perfect place. Spotlessly clean, quiet/safe neighborhood and spacious even for 5 people. Interestingly, my wife escorted them on the bus to the closest subway stop and the children loved it! They insisted on using it again to go to the Smithsonian museums. After hard and hot days and humid nights of touring, the children had TV, movies, internet, books and a kitchen. Whether a family of five or lone businessperson, one is close enough for downtown business or touring yet escapes from the noise and congestion of downtown. Very reasonably priced!

We were five and were very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need and the bathroom was impecable. We had never used an online BNB service and we were thrilled! The home is very modern and clean. This gave our family of 5 so much more room than a hotel, plus was a lot cheaper. Sunny was very accommodating and available to help if needed.
