When touring the Pentagon, you will experience over 70 years of our country’s military history. The Pentagon is a city in itself, with more than 23,000 employees who contribute to the execution and planning of our defensive strategy. This historical building encompasses around 6.34 million square feet, including five floors and a basement. Tours will explore the drastic change in design for the building’s design and construction from 1941 to 1942. You can even delve further into recent renovations required from the unfortunate events of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. Due to the immense size of the building, renovations are expected to continue on schedule and on cost for the next 50 years.
