Dupont Escape Lovely Condo

I stayed in this condo for 3 months while I enjoyed the beginning of retirement. Since I was there just to see all the sights, I feel so lucky to have found this condo to stay in. It was a perfect location. The red line metro was within easy walking distance. There Is a small grocery store just steps away as well as (2 )Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s and Safeway all within a 15 min walk. There are 3 drugstores close by. The restaurants close by were great, especially Rasika on New Hampshire ! It is also a short walk to Georgetown where again there are many stores and restaurants.
The Postoffice and UPS store ,where I had a mailbox ,were also easy walks.
The condo was very comfortable including the bed and pillows ! When I first arrived there was a broken curtain rod and a slow draining bathroom sink. One call to Charlotte and the the repair man, Lance, was there the next day. I also needed the replacement of a couple of kitchen items and again Charlotte was right on it and had them delivered to the condo.
The top floor is pretty quiet. I met 3 people who live on the floor, otherwise I would just hear others coming and going. There are 6 condo units on the floor, other floors are commercial businesses so there is not evening activity. The area and building felt very safe to me. I appreciated that there was a code to get in the front door. Anyone coming to the businesses downstairs had to be buzzed in.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. I appreciated the prompt response from Charlotte with any question or concern I had before and during my stay.

Loved our stay, communication could be improved with the company and the information packet needs to be updated. Once we connected with them, all was well and they seemed to be receptive to our input.

Perfect place for two! This condo has everything you need for a weekend away, close to the metro and all the great restaurants.

Amazing place in Dupont Circle!
I can’t say enough about this rental, the accommodations, location, everything about it was top shelf. We were literally a block and a half from the metro, it was such a great neighborhood with restaurants in a few bars, but very quiet, you would never know there were businesses out there. We felt safe at all times, and more than once I commented to my wife and how clean the neighborhood was. The rental itself was immaculate, kitchen bathroom living room and bedroom, they
cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. We recommend it it will definitely be back!

The location of this unit was great! So close to the metro, restaurants and grocery stores. Having a washer and dryer was convenient. We were allowed to check in a little bit earlier than 3:00 which was nice. Charlotte was great responding to any issues and concerns we had during our one week stay.

We booked this on very short notice, but were pleased with the results. Unit was clean and very quiet , probably only saw 3 people in the. Building the whole time.Did hav problems with the entry code but was able to access the key. Living room and bed room need more light. We had a death in the family and LUXbnb sent us flowers, very thoughtful.

Cute apartment, great location. Had trouble with water leak in ceiling after rainstorm.Used towels to clean up water and then couldn't get replacement towels.

Our experience was a good one. Apartment was very quiet. Sits in the rear of building on 3rd floor. The building is older and could use some sprucing up in hallways and staircase. Has an elevator. The first and second floors are commercial which is nice because it keeps it very quite. Never saw any tenants on 3rd floor. Washer and dryer right outside the door which was very convenient. Location is 2 blocks to metro. Easy walk. Bua Thai restaurant on P street was excellent. Pizzerio Paradiso on P street also great place for craft beers and pizza. Had some trouble with lock on entering the apartment, phoned manager and was responded to quickly and was helped getting in. There are some items in apartment that need some TLC like the blinds in bedroom one is broken. The curtain rods in living room are coming out of the wall and last that leather chair that all other reviews talk about that needs to be retired. It is comfortable but is pretty scratch up and from an appearance stand point does not create a good first impression. Couch in living room has been replaced with a nice gray one. Kitchen was new and had everything needed.

A really convenient location to stay in DC. And lots of good features. Cosey bed, great shower, lots of dresser and hanging space. The weather was cold but the heat kept it warm. Enough room to spread out and kitchen fully furnished. AND free washer and dryer. Needed a mirror and chair in bedroom and hooks in the bathroom. But that’s about the worst I can say. METRO and buses 5 min away.

Read the reviews here, they were extremely helpful. This place is great! Four adults stayed comfortably for 4 nights. The lockbox for the building front door is a pain. Sleeper sofa has very comfortable Tempurpedic type mattress. We brought our own extra towels. Bedroom is bright in the morning. There was no exhaust fan noise in bathroom as described in previous reviews (no fan). Yes, one mirror but not a big deal. We would stay here again.

Was like coming home every day from long and hot days of seeing the amazing places of Washington DC. A/C worked great, furnishings were great, comfy beds, excellent linens and soooo quiet. We had 2 adults and 2 teens and this apt worked out perfectly. We loved being able to stay in DuPont Circle. Would definitely stay here again.

This condo is in a perfect location for just about anything you might want to do while in DC. The metro red line was a 5 minute walk. The neighborhood was very cool with lots of restaurants and businesses. There is a Starbucks right outside the door and a small grocery store just down the street.
The condo was very clean when we arrived. The bedding was fresh and there was one set towels for each of us. The condo kitchen is updated and very nice with new appliances. The coffee maker is a 4 cup pot. The refrigerator has an ice maker. The bathroom has a good shower and vanity but the exhaust fan was very annoying due to a very obnoxious noise it made. There was an old extremely worn leather chair in the living room that definitely needs to be replaced. The sleeper sofa was okay. The unit was very quiet even though we were on a busy street.
I would say that the biggest negative about this place is the property manager. I tried to reach them three times prior to our stay to find out if I could get an early check in, however they never returned my call. Once we arrived I sent a text notifying them of the problems that we found in the condo such as one of the window shades was broken as well as the bathroom exhaust fan and a few other minor complaints. That was on a Saturday and a few days later I received a reply saying that they hoped my stay was going well. No mention of any of my complaints at all.
Overall I would probably not recommend this condo to a friend due to the poor customer service.

This apartment is nearly perfect! It's comfy, and conveniently located. Easy to walk to many great restaurants and sights!

My only complaints are minor: 1. The coffee make was too small. It's the size of one for a hotel room, not an apartment. There's a Starbucks right across the street, though! 2. Check out time was 10:00 a.m. Not even hotels make you check out that early. We asked for a late checkout and were told we couldn't, because the cleaning crew had already been scheduled. :/

Other than that, it was pure awesome!

This was our first visit to Washington and the first time we had ever rented an apartment using Tripadvisor. We were a bit worried that everything would go to plan but we needn't have been. All communication was dealt with quickly and efficiently and this made me feel at ease before we arrived. The apartment was easy to find and easy to access using the instructions that had been emailed to us. The apartment was exactly as shown it was a little 'home from home' for the time we were there feeling comfortable and well-equipped. In the local area there were many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops - there was a grocery store just around the corner. We were able to walk to Georgetown from here which took us about 20 minutes and it was easy to access the metro which was just over 5 minutes away on foot. There was plenty of information about areas of interest in the apartment and my overall view was that it suited our needs perfectly.

This was our second time renting the apartment. The location is great. It's close to the metro and there are several restaurants within walking distance. Kevin is great to deal with...I couldn't ask for a nicer time.

The apartment is located two blocks from Dupont Circle metro. The apartment is clean, as described in the pictures. Kevin the manager was outstanding with his responsiveness. It is very comfortable for a couple. It could use some curtains in the bedroom to block light at night.

Apartment was in a great location. Offered plenty of room for my husband and I. Didn't think that 4 towels was really adequate for the 4 nights we stayed. Also, despite what was mentioned in the instructions, there wasn't any coffee or a "spa and bath amenities kit."

I stayed in this apartment for 6 weeks in February and March 2015. It is a great apartment for a single person or couple. It has all amenities, is clean and well looked after. Best of all, though, is that it is in a wonderful location. Dupont Circle has many great bars and restaurants, and is only a short walk (or metro ride) from many of the city's delights.

We were very pleased with this apartment, and plan to stay there the next time we are in DC. It was very welcoming and had everything we needed. It was right in the DuPont Circle area, with restaurants, shops, and the Red Line Metro stop. We highly recommend this property.

Great location in the middle of a great area. Would stay here again as it was easy to access everything you wanted to do in and around D.C.. The condo was perfect for 2 persons. We were able to walk to great variety of restaurants.

My daughter and I had at great time at DuPont Escape. The location is so convenient to everything any the unit was perfect for our needs. It was clean and comfortable and we felt very safe. Loved the local area restaurants and Starbucks was great for breakfast. I have already recommended it to friends.

Overall this place is a great choice for it's location to DuPont Circle and the Metro station. There are numerous restaurant choices right on P Street and in the DuPont Circle area. There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout, a comfy couch, and flat screen TV. it is about a two city block walk to the Dupont metro stop, and across the street from Starbucks. If you wish to cook, all appliances ad utensils are ready to use. The apartment is onthe third floor with convenient elevator or stairs access. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed and Pottery Barn bedding. It was truly a home away from home for us and we loved it!

One downside was an extremely noisy vent fan in the bath, although it was effective. The unit was clean, comfortable, and well equipped for occasional meals and could seat up to five in the living area, although it was designed for 2 to be comfortable. Our TV remote (cable box) had dead batteries, so we used the box mounted controls. We did not know how to delete the subtitles on the TV. Our week in DC included the standard museums, extended walks and tours, concerts and dining, all of which were great. This city is unique in terms of quantity, quality and cost of interesting activities. We will be back.

We were in dc for four days and enjoyed our stay in the DuPont escape condo. Very conveniently located for the sights and resturants. The condo was missing both a hair dryer and a toaster but the management company take care of the problems . Would rent this condo again.

This one bedroom/one bathroom apartment was exactly what we could have wanted for the five days we stayed in DC over the New Year. It was easy to access, a three minute walk to the metro, and in a great neighborhood! Kevin is extremely helpful and is there if you need anything.
